in The Hovel
where fairies built nests
out of thin air
and where my poems
are dying within . . . er, I try
I’m stuck, looking for the next word
which will make the line
immortal
I think of love
ahhh . . . it has too many variables
to be stable
I stand and I stretch
I am weary of sitting here
searching for instant
metered influence
the fairies are about
I know this because of the
strawberry induced free-verse kisses
that is always an extremely
calming stimulus
now I can pen
poems about freight trains
whistles and droopy clouds
even bad mother-love

Though mother-love passes by some (hugs) I enjoyed your tumble throughout!

and those fairies? I hear they get drunk on honey?

My faeries like to play tricks on me, like hiding my spoon when I set it down to write a line.  Gotta love them though, don't really know what I would do without them.  I've learned over the years to never neglect them, they hide on me if I do, and that is maddening.

My Faeries thrive on dust bunnies and sweet creamy coffee. Sometimes they hide that next line in my underwear drawer. Sassy little sprites! ~L

Thanks Michael and Lori, I guess as mischievous our fairies are, they are eventually there when we need them.
