Adornment in a cameo-
grasping slender neck,
Gartered of a ribbon, black-
matching Time's reflect...

Bead and bauble, Bang-up job-
String and toggle, Kiss Macabre.
The hiss and tighten, I staunch now-
Will charm me soon, to silent sound..

Sins and shard-dust, Lay me out-
That bubble breaks, I have no clout.
Bend and breach, veracious me-
Can't bind nor patch, to hide the sting.

I see you sweat,
It's not your fault-
I am my own worst fire-start.
So breathe for me,
when air runs out-
Then ash the earth and sing my tout...

Adornment of that cameo
falls silently away-
matching Time's reflection
on black-ribbon winds, I fade.

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

You use words like a witch as she stirs her cauldron. You describe sensations, intimacy in such a way as to hold mysteriously their thoughts. It is as though you put the reader in a holding pattern and it is a wonderful swansong to the end of the ride.

LOVE IT . . .

So, it was you who stole my muse.  I had a feeling.  Can I have it back now please?

Looks like I have a lot to catch up on.  This was seductively dark, but I can never you see fading.  You, I am more than certain, would go out with a bang.
