          Your True Heart

Beyond the angry world of day
where men are still cutting down
  rainbows,
when the fine-enamel moon
hangs like a multi-orbed taper
flaming in the gathering mist
that seems to condense reality
into a prisoner of the endless dark-
immense silence of the night,
it is only then that I still believe
the sky may be truly listening  to
my dreams of Love’s perfection
as they fly to pace the night wind
along all the pathways of eternity
to your one true heart.

his, in my thoughts ranks right up there as one of your best poems . . . Truly impressive . . . The words just seemed to meld together to form a priceless poem of love . . .

simply EPIC penning here! you drop these words softly, like pebbles in warm sand.

take care

as always, thank you so much, Ms. Ida!

One of my (many) "critics" said that I only write "pseudo-sentimental, syrup-dipped tripe!" ...
but, perhaps this ever lovely but sad 'ol world could use more of it (and more "incurable
Romantics?!") ...   triping on,  Bruce
