Sky line of contemplation
the morning is long in agony and sobriety
grey over blue
the rays strain to reign over the stone face
of the pavement

We've come once again to this vortex
the segue I've stalled to cross over
aware  i could suffocate whatever embers
still struggle for destiny
as you remain with me
a thought wave , captured  in chrysalis
beneath  the hardened ice where warm water swells
with a life we can't seem to connect to

And I remain
To the both the lure and the futility
helplessly tethered

Sad lament, Emma. Wishing for either closure or togetherness . . .

Exquisite and excellent, Emma, but then you don't ever write anything less than exquisite and excellent.  I ache for your pain.

I really admire your style, dear EmmaRose. It seems a paradox, but your sadness is so beautifully expressed.

Love and hugs.

Say's it all, my friend.  Perfect ending.
