   Fire and Moonlight

In these 'endless' hills,
ever more beautiful as
  deeply traveled,
the morning star
dances  through
swirling mist and
mossy forest calm
to the grand-eternal
music of the dawn.
Here, beyond all
the noise and silent
desperation of
the ever-grasping
world of men,
I dream only
to ask of  life,
as  light vanishes
into light and
shadows into
darkness, that
I be consumed
in an eternal love
that burns like fire
and moonlight.

The dancing star conjures up so many magical images.
Another beauty DP.
