Winter twilight
chill moon among
rootless clouds

bright dawn
a Spring breeze
parts the violets

forest pond
moon on
the water

Spring sun
snow in
retreat

as each petal
   falls
Spring passes

morning star
in every dewdrop
lingering

midnight
in the arms
of a crescent
   moon

from the darkness
into the darkness
    owl eyes

silvering blossoms
lost in blossoms
   Spring moon

setting sun
parting the mist
to the far horizon

moonlit forest
    path
voices of water
from the darkness

painting wildflowers
   the rising sun
  the setting sun

Summer heat
wave upon wave
angry stones

cool Spring breeze
seems to live
in the grasses

light of dawn
early Spring
peers through willows

dragonflies
still dancing
for the crescent
    moon

cool breeze
through the
Spring forest
voices of dawn

growing old
the sound of
raindrops

Winter moon
endless hills
endless sky

owl eyes
over withered
fields
Winter moon

few talents
fewer dreams
Winter seclusion

Loneliness
has few pleasures
Winter twilight

This is very good, Bruce, You conjured up some very special couplings . . . such as . . .

Whoo!  I've just read this through one time and I'll be going back and re-reading them.  But I wanted to let you know how much I like these.  Each one stands on its own.  Such very good use of language. I admire your talent with this type of poetry.

thank you! ... at least for me, it is the very hardest thing to write let alone (hopefully) write well.
