The dewdrops cling to blades of grass,
they glisten in early morning light.
Nature's peace is come to pass.

The tall trees stretch to its fullest height,
foggy mists drift ‘round their edges,
glisten in early morning light.

Flower buds peer shyly from the hedges,
like maidens stirring to love’s first call,
mists of fog curling ‘round their edges.

The creeper vines that hug a garden wall,
green sentry guarding a patch of flowers
young maidens stirring to love’s first call.

The light of sun will soon display its powers,
as bushes wait to offer their leafy shades
green sentry guarding a patch of flowers.

A landscape painting of an early morning:
dewdrops clinging to blades of grass,
bushes with leafy shades stand in waiting.
Nature's peace at last is come to pass.

What I like about your writing is you see beyond the surface of things (I think I do too) and can put that depth into ordinary words. By that, I mean, it's like when I walk with someone down a sidewalk, we see everything - well, almost,  I also see the bug on the cigarette butt next to the grass-edge - my companion is lucky if he/she even saw the butt.  It's the depth of your observation that brings the minutiae to life.

And it shows in your eyes, in your avatar.

Always enjoy reading you... even when I don't comment.

I believe the early morning which you have so intimately described to be one of the most serene and peaceful things with which to visit. Your poem took me back to my boyhood, and I remember, even as a lad, the quiet thrill I received whenever I was fortunate enough to witness the object of your poem, an early morning dew . . . Thanks for jogging my memory . . .
