Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Even in that coldest
the sun did shine.
When the wind was still,
warmth came
weeping tears from ice.
Blinding brilliance
frozen into long daggers
of crystalline commemoratives.
The prism’s purloined hues
danced on beaming rays
and shimmered upon
a sky that appeared
endlessly blue.

Perfectly said, and I have that picture in my thoughts. Yes, I have observed what you wrote about.

Jerry and Jo
This is probably a repost. I didn't remember it. I came across it while I was looking for poems for a reading at Eaglecrest on Thursday. It is always a nice surprise to come across something you wrote that you forgot but like. Because there is plenty I've written that when I come across it again I think it really needed a lot more work. Thank you for commenting! ~L

Enjoyed this, my friend...the only ice we see, especially this year, is in the Freezer!

Jimmy, sounds like the only ice you scoop is into a tea glass! ~L

Thanks for your vote of confidence Tracie. But I have to warn you I post all kinds of stuff and it all may not be so good. I hope it is all entertaining at least. I'm delighted you like my work! Thank you so very much for letting me know I appreciate it very much! ~L
