Let them talk, and I must say-- with a breath upon the heart,
chords, strings, reasonings; all too questionable a lie--
from feelings, hidden from the sight, the sight of the mind
not of the eyes that see the beauty and brightness of the colours
spiralling from the lightness of this world, nor the heavy burden
of twisting cycled thoughts which come again, and again.

But of that whispered thought within the mind that has a voice
that makes no sound but sounds within; in darkness, in blindness
in spirit, holding all the wisdom of the world without viewing--
for it is like a child innocent, as only the flesh has tainted the spirit
wash it clean i say, wash it clean!

Let me mould my mistakes from clay
for isn’t form just as changable?
Let me form a different being each day
in the products of my experience,
always keeping elements of the old--
but becoming anew.

Quenching the water that has been poured
from many sources against my lips--
each part an aspect of something,
we flower in the elements, we wear and tear like
stone but still show remaining layers of our scars,
and build new upon them.

I cannot speak for each and every individual’
but of self I have uttered many questions in the mind,
reached out to the burning soul and gathered a pool of
many feelings and experiences below the waterfall,
some may claim beneath the surface goin coins litter
the bottom and wish to go and claim the riches,
but I have already spent each coin, and recieved--
I have already asked and been given.

Not that my questions ask the answers to the
things you think you need to know, but they
develop me-- and my soul.

a very introspective and questionning poem, everyone looks for answers, and I guess they are different for everyone, thanks for the original and powerful poem

Excellent work, dear Lee!

Especially I loved:

But of that whispered thought within the mind that has a voice
that makes no sound but sounds within; in darkness, in blindness
in spirit, holding all the wisdom of the world without viewing--
for it is like a child innocent, as only the flesh has tainted the spirit
wash it clean i say, wash it clean!

I think your soul is perfect, but what can be improved is your awareness of this truth.
