I listen to the sound
of writers
whimpering and complaining
of this, of that
a coma or a semicolon
I hear the sounds of writers
trying to make sentences connect
and poems with literary value
every so often
a bark of satisfaction
or a sob of complete, mind numbing disarray
but the clamor of the writers
put together
sounds like a violent Tchaikovsky piece
with its swirling, convoluted breathtaking majesty
of sound
this is what I hear
when I listen to the sound of writers

Bless your heart Jerry, what a beautiful thing to say. What a wonderful way you said it! As of late I have had only the silence to add to accentuate the glorious noise of the rest of you. And the "rest of you" has grown to be quite an assortment as of late. I hope the growing of the blue flock has eased your mind some. Write on shepard!
