the end time draws nigh
a parting if you like
death
is the reality
the time we spend together
is a happy/sad
place to be
the words we communicate with each other
and, as I look to see your face
I hear death a-creeping

Death is a fickle thing. You never know when or where it will come, only that it will. We rarely think of it until we become sick or old (or a loved one does). It matters not what we say or do, it will come when it comes and the world will continue on as if we never existed (except to those who have loved us)

Yeah you're right Lori, I write about it because I am a writer/poet kinda guy. I really don't dwell on it, but being my age I have it in the back of my mind . . . Thanks for rescuing me from "no comment" status . . . Heh.Heh.

All I can say is have that top hat ready so you can go out tipping it and smiling. All we need is a laugh or two a day to keep up fit. best to you, jo

This is one of my favorite quotes-
Death is the golden key that opens the palace of eternity.

Death is merely a millisecond between itself and eternity. we are granted here: a thousand million exceptions of those that tried as sperms. Little Juliette died aged ten. Her parents wrote on her gravestone: Juliette, safe in the arms of Jesus.  Faith is the grand comforter.

Ahhh . . . Death, Redstart has been analyzed since man took his first breath, and we still do not understand it. We say we do, but we do not.
quote:
Faith is the grand comforter

I agree that is most certainly is that if the Faith is pure.

No need to understand...it comes like a thief in the nght. You are well armed if you have lived life well, no regrets.

And you can truly say, Lord you can now dismiss this servant in peace... death will hold no sting.
