lazy Sunday is upon us don't look in the mirror you'll see Monday for the mirror only speaks the truth my eyes feast on the one I love she makes a soft sound in her throat our eyes seek each other out we speak of darkness in both our lives as we make love we chase the dark from our worlds afterward we finish off the wine sleep with the moon's blood-red shadow comforting us awakened we stare through the window watching people necks raised looking up at us it is time they are informed when will the bare mountain top cease its ever watchful gazing the world needs to know it is past time ©December 14, 2014 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

I don't know... in a situation like that I think the world I'd choose to worry about is the one who I was holding. You don't need to justify anything to the world outside... just you and your beloved. Not a bad problem to have either way though. Happy 2015 Jer. Michael |

Eh . . . I guess I agree with your simplification of the poem, Michael. Thank you for being here. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

The raised necks, and the watching mountain need to know nothing. It's not their business. |
