immeasurable fog
lays itself within my consciousness
like a standoffish friend
which evades
the dark past but leaves
everything else crystal clear
sometimes . . .
I abandon my thought process
stumbling amid
my oh so checkered past
to my written-in-stone future
ah . . . my future
a darkness I know not
and not all that anxious to find out
though I do admit
I'd sorta like to know what's next
reincarnation maybe
ahhh . . . getting close to wine time
with a snoot full
I'm sure all the questions I have
will be answered

that first line definitely says it all

I enjoyed the read...not sure you'll find THE answers in a snoot full, but you will likely find some answers. ;o}

Not only do I believe your questions will be answered, but when the time comes they will not seem so urgent. I believe this life and all that goes with it is for the living. And living in the grand scheme of things is but a blink of the eye.

Actually, I agree with you, Jerry --- a "snoot full" would definitely help!!

Of course I'm almost a teetotaler (except for beer and seafood or pizza) so it'll be all fun and games after a "snoot full" for me!!

Enjoyed the read...

I believe we are in good hands, it's a matter of trust. On this level of existence it seems that the fog is really thick and doesn't allow to peek into what comes next.

You rendered your mood very eloquently, Jerry.

Have a great 2015 and let it unfold by welcoming it with a big smile.
