…all the pieces

required
if mending’s your desire
no holding back
no clinging–
letting go…

that’s the ticket
in the thicket
of pain
confusion
heartache

even in the gray
of dismay
in the shred
of anguish
when red drops
stain the refrain

of tears
that mirror
the core
of your being
seeing only a cloud
of circumstances

unclasp
your fingers
and let–
God

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Letting go of many things that bother or upset, is the ticket as you said. JO

Yes indeed, letting go is the key to survival and happiness, but some people find it very difficult to let go.

Thank you, both, for reading. It must be sticking with you Jo. I'm wondering if there's a particular reason for it to do so.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia I have a problem when I post a reply. For some reason, maybe because I use Google, It does not show for a long tine and  makes me think I did not hit  Submit Reply. Then I come back hours later and see I did it twice because I thought the first one did not go through. I will have to wait a g full day  before replying now. Sorry  about that. jo

Your poem is full of human emotion and the obstacles/curve balls that we encounter,
which in turn build character and strength, giving way to faith and wisdom.

Your ending says it all.

Good on ya,  VAS.

Thanks, Sunshine, love that you came by to read. Thanks for the encouragement, too.
Craig Fraley is our current pastor and his message Sunday was about healing a broken heart, it can be done, God can do it, but we need to give Him all,ALL, the pieces.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Absolutely beautiful and uplifting, dear Virginia. When we know that we are not alone when we try to overcome suffering, we are already halfway through. Gratitude is due for this help that comes from Above indeed.

Love,
Margherita
