Promise?

The word asks
softly
suggesting need
for something more than the reliability
of a day to day forecast.
Weather is iffy.

Well, I've hardly been around here for a number of years, when I used to be incessant.
I didn't know you'd been gone, but it does seem like I've heard grouse have become endangered, so I guess, especially, it's good you're back.

A pointed piece in an ethereal way.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Grouse,
I love your name! It makes me wonder what I've been missing!  Enjoyed this poem very much and I'm looking forward to more.

Thank you, All. I was previously RMW but lost my password and what with a change of email could not figure out how to return.

You had me repeating to myself 'Promise?', in that soft needy way. This is succinct , but works perfectly.

Been away for long too. Love short poems which say so much in so few words.

I'll add my expression of liking your poem very much . . . A heartfelt meaning within the lines.
