Round and round the tears go
round and round the tears flow
round and round and round and round
falling to the beaten sounds the ones that
come from trying hard,

The ones that come from
casting shadows in the dark,

The pieces that do speak
the heart, the ones that do least from start’ because i’ve
seen another side, another mind, another face,

Another kind.

so little is put from the very start, how can i explain the little
pieces of myself if i cannot look at the mirror and see what it
is i’m meant to be looking at, as the dark eyes stare back in
a sunken face, i just wish i could smash you in and then erase.

I guess i’m meant to start afresh, I guess, i guess, i guess,
i guess.

But there is so much i need to do, so much i need to be,
so much i need to own, so much to this been free--
for I am trapped in the cell of life, looking out into the vastness
of what i would be, to never be, I know when all is said and done
i’m just a speck, not really important against the tide, though they
say, though they say, i guess the real reason they do churn the
mind away to think it meaningful, is their way of saying they exist
without a chance of really realising they are mere puppets of life
see the strings, see the strings? those strings that connect not just to
hands and bones all sewn in the sides, but to feelings,
yes feelings, you know what i’m talking about,
think about it, just think about it!

Who the hell cares what is going on, who the hell cares about the
distractions of life, isn’t that the point, always the point.

And back to the mirror again, those eyes...

Just breathe...i think it's human nature to get caught up on things that are just not that important.  As cliche as it sounds all of the inner battles I have won and lost were in my mind.  As you said no one else knew or cared...and then we die.  Life is too damn short.  We have the choice to live well or keep fighting the same battles with the same outcome.

Peace

Welcome to the world of worrisome thoughts! A rite of passage I would think. Some can go a lifetime and never think so deep a thought. Blues is quite right, you know. But it is for you to realize and let go those dead weights of drama that fret you now.
Always remember when feeling as insignificant as a grain of sand: A single grain of sand is of the utmost importance...when it gets in your eye
Carry on Poet!

Like BluesSerenade, who says "Breathe", I feel that you were somehow out of breath while writing this impressive emotional piece. Now if you could just look long enough into the mirror to see beyond yourself in a moment of despair, you would find that in your eyes you could see the divine spark to which you are forever linked. And then every day is a new beginning, dear Poet.

Peace and love.

Each person we know, family, friends, acquaintance, all have one person in mind and that person is them selves. Sorry, as they will deny that but you and I and many more have come to that realization. Our part is to start thinking of our selves and what we can do to help another realize their importance in our and others lives. That may help to release the person of their own feelings of inadequateness. In doing that we help ourselves ten  fold. All those whom we think do not care about us really do, but we are  second or more down the line from them. What a happy world can be made if we all just flip that switch that keeps us from letting go of all those thoughts that do so much harm to ourselves.Just my  opinion and I  agree with all of the above answers.  Best to you Jo Perry
