I awake in the morning my hands wanting to get to pen and paper eager to write what I was dreaming about when I awoke half asleep went straight to my desk grabbed pen and in my oh so stylish heh stenographers note book to write words begging to be read immediately they being the bright shining stars they are light from a void even small things have substance eh . . . there is a sense of discarding words leaving my brain flowing through my fingers onto paper the ink seems to have a radiance and . . . as it dries I feel your scar tissue upon my heart ©December 12, 2014 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Or write its epitaph. ~*~ |

"I feel your scar tissue upon my heart" That line is amazing! Had it been mine it would have pulled me out of bed to wrap a poem around it too! Way to go my friend! |
