This will be my last Christmas

The last Christmas I will feel bad about watching It's a Wonderful Life"

The last Christmas I will feel like decorating a tree is a waste of time.

The last Christmas I will let someone else make me feel small for doing small nice things for my friends.

The last Christmas I will allow myself to be belittled because I make christmas candy for my friends.

The last Christmas I will say it's ok for the person I love not to give me a present or card of any kind because he doesn't "believe" in Christmas.

The last Christmas I will allow myself to just let the day go by without making cookies, putting up a tree, putting lights up and singing Christmas songs.

This is my last Christmas with a person who doesn't believe in Christmas because it hurts my heart, and makes my soul weak, and I deserve to be around someone who finds joy in the small things in life that come around only once a year.

I know it's not a poem, but I had to get these feelings out of me and on paper. (smile)_

Hello my friend. It's been awhile.
I've been in your shoes. Some days, I'm still wearing them.

I hear you. Feel you. Life doesn't always have to rhyme to be a poem of heart.

Please know...you're not alone. However, my Christmas Wish for you is to not do anything drastic over the holidays, which is always a stressful time.

Merry Christmas from your partner in "doing" for others.

God Bless.

I'm not the "drastic" type. I'm the "I need to change my life" type. (smile)>

Nice to see you too!

Christmas was a defining moment for me too. Christmas is something we strive to keep in our hearts all year round. If you don't believe in Christmas, you don't believe in joy. If you don't believe in joy, then you really don't know how to believe in love. I say, don't walk, run to the nearest door!
