***
Our skins immersed
into different waters
on distant shores
a long time ago.

Every cell's emotion
was captured
by the cool embrace
under a smiling sun.

Pure emissions
of deepest longing
traveled far beyond
our imagination.

Our names echoed
through immensity
coated with pure particles of gold
brushing our silent lips.

Souls connected
without our knowing
in higher spheres
whispering of future tunes.

Ever since we were
dancing molecules,
creation dreamed our dream
weaving silky strings.

Applauding stars
from high above
sprinkled our bodies
with silvery nightly sparks.

Our dreams found fulfillment
when our eyes finally met
and rainbow magic burst free
all over our spellbound hearts.

Fully merged as One
now we give grace to the sea
our souls' song still plays
as it expands throughout eternity.

Most pleasant imagery and Romanticism ...

especially fine ending:

"Fully merged as One
now we give grace to the sea
  our souls' song still plays
  as it expands throughout eternity."

Margherita,
As you share your inspiration with us, you also share something else so very precious-your comfort and familiarity with the vastness of love and beauty of the Universe. You are clearly in your element when you write like this. You enlighten us all.

Lori said it best. I can only add that your poetry, all of your poetry, is a wonderful and satisfying collage of verses and excellent wordplay. You, dear one, are a master at it.

Yeah, my wife and I talk about the "evolution" of how we met; how at various years & ages, over thousands of miles and several states, we practically stumbled over one another at times, until finally in Dallas, Texas, we came together as a blind date and within a month or so we married - and on the 23rd of this month we'll look back again ... on 40 years of history.

That's what this piece of yours brought to mind for me.  Thanks, my friend.

hello Margherita, your beautiful meditation on the sea, made me think of Baudelaire : homme libre toujours tu chériras la mer

Dear one: add me to the chorus of praise for your tribute to the sea and your oneness with your beloved. I has a brief insightful moment the other day and wrote this tanka:

for a split second
my mind stops thinking. . .
my heart sees
for the first time
a tree is not a tree

All Love,

Al

Thank you, dear Bruce, for your most loving comment. Yes, that idea of eternity "still knowing us" is the hope of every heart.

You have always such kind words for me, dear Lori, thank you so much. Our connection to the Universe (s) is deeply felt because Love is the common denominator.

Dear Jerry, I am touched by your kind appreciation of my poetic offerings. You are always very generous. Thank you so much!

As a Pisces girl you know of this kind of magic, no doubt, dear Ida! We plunge into the ocean of romanticism and every now and then we come up for air. Thank you for enjoying my words.

Thank you so much, dear Martyjo, it's indeed a question of listening ... the magic is there for us to be caught. It is beyond description, but we try anyway.

That's it, dear Jimmy, the magic at work within a life long story. Wonderful. Thank you for sharing your own story, it's amazing. Congratulations on the upcoming 40th!

Dear Yann, thank you so much for your most loving comment. L'immensité de la mer ouvre nos coeurs et fait danser nos âmes. Je dois relire Baudelaire, il inspire toujours.

Thank you so much, dear Al, for your wonderful addition to this thread. I really love your tanka. Yes, when we succeed in stopping all that chatting that goes on in our minds, we gain access to higher truths. I much enjoyed your loving comment, thank you.

Love,
Margherita

If ever a poem should be described as beautiful, it is this one. What wand of fate brings strangers together from so far apart? It only needs one, small circumstance and it wouldn't happen.

Thank you so much, dear Redstart, for your most loving comment. Yes sometimes it is quite awesome to realize how synchronicities occur. There must be some really excellent conductors out in the field of all possibilities.
