Gifts and Mysteries

A cold-vacant December moon
rides the vast, eternal sky
through streaming clouds and
fields of tremulous stars,
while the wicked Winter wind
tempts withered leaves to
dance with the primal spirits
and moonlit shadows through
these ancient ‘endless’ hills
from a ‘Deep-Time’ dream,
as this wilderness forest
whispers its simple truths
to the calm, gentle heart
and enlightened mind.
Love and consciousness
are our finest ‘gifts’
and shall remain the
greatest mysteries.

Enchanting, dear Bruce. As you see those qualities as gifts you know of their value and you get closer to the unveiling of the implied mysteries.
