sometimes at night
I wander around my neighborhood
surrounded  by the light
of the moon
soft mist on my cheeks
like a kiss
and stars twinkling on high
this city at night
with buildings ultramodern in scope
next door to red brick
from the early days
of last century
the old and the new
somehow given me a peaceful glow
my mind is at ease
not going back to things I've done
or said or written
which causes me and others pain
seems to me that the moon
takes my hand
and leads me back to The Hovel
beneath the
twinkling stars having done their work
with the moon's help
tonight was one of those times
I've taken my stroll about . . . and
thanks to my many celestial friends
I've made peace
with my world again
took off a day from working on the book
get back to it on the morrow

I like this, dear Jerry. In the stillness of the night we cleanse our brain and we can choose to just BE, which is good!

You will go back to your novel with renewed energy and passion.

There is something very soothing about the stillness of the night, Jerry. Enjoyed.

Of course that little mutt goes with me. Wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for thinking about her.
