eh . . . sometimes we search for things
we should never see
by now we can understand
what we see isn't always what we think we see
there are times when sit in solitude
we dream of someone we can love
share our life with
life doesn't treat everyone the same
by the same token
we know we are the one who can make it better
sometimes we do
many times we don't
people like to say life isn't fair
"life" is, in my opinion, "you"
so in all fairness
when you say life isn't fair
you're admitting failure at being "you"
sure there are doors closed
opportunities missed
just don't make the mistake
of blaming life
man-up woman-up whatever-up
shrug it off
keep on keeping on
I guess the message of this ditty
if you ain't "got" it yet
you are responsible for ninety-five percent
of what happened to you
learn to deal with the other five percent
stop blaming what you think is life
and start tending to your own knitting

While I do not believe we are responsible for 95% of what may happen to us, I certainly believe we are 100% responsible for how we handle it.  We ARE the result of our own choices.  <--- am choosing to have a beer now.

Go Jerry go! You carry the Gideon for living life in spite of regrets, set back and misgivings. Bravo!

Many thanks Lori. Took a long time getting to where I am today, but it was worth all the b.s. I took and gave.

TO "My sad Men" enjoy your toast to each other. Life sometimes hits us on the head but as long as you both have fingers to hold that pen or hit those keys you are not as bad off as you may think you are. So many others do not know how to express their feelings. Would love to see those smiles. best, Jo

Yippee!! Put the last period on that sucker. Take a little time off and tackle the second draft.

Gotta enjoy, smile, cry, laugh, wonder.

Enjoyed the message.
