Truth and Wilderness

Twilight clouds drift
and change forever
as does the fickle
  world of men;
yet all live beneath
the one bright moon
rising from this forest
  lake of dreams.
What can we learn from
the wordless wooded path
that disappears into the
heart of these ‘endless’
hills, where the air is
saturated with the
delicious scent of
Deep-Time’s ancient
   mysteries?
Here all illusions vanish
for there is no truth nor
joy so pure as that of
   the wilderness.

Wow I'm loving this...both your sentiment and the whole idea that the same moon lights up all of our lives.

Pretty...

Thank you ! ...

I just hope that I sometime give adequate
'voice' to the magnificent wonders of Nature
(and to the responsibility of our species
  pursuant to 'environmental stewardship.')
