Snow Birds fly away down south
Apples ripen red

In southern winters
We welcome the snowbirds here
Warm weather retreat

If they give you ruled paper write sideways.

Yea Yann!
Thank you so much for commenting on my apple. That is exactly why I picked it! It is frustrating sometimes when the "real" people you can share your poetry with (family and friends) don't get those nuances. Bless your heart!

I think I live in a land of two seasons here... straight from summer to winter.  Bleh.  I hope you are enjoying the holidays, Lori.

Well, I will say that my seasonal dread has lessened to the point that it has opened a door to enjoyment I haven't realized in many years. Uh, I guess that would mean yes, I am enjoying my holidays.

Apples ripen, love it!!
Yeah, apple pie with a slice of cheddar and a cup of hot coffee...
I do enjoy this time of year.
