    Wintry Zen Miscellanea

lonely late November evening
ten thousand grey-cold trees
even their shadows are frozen

the irrevocable past bears the
costs of memory and regret
while the future lies somewhere
   beyond imagination
there is only the truth and
the joy in the now to grasp

the snow erases all traces
of arrogant human folly

deep-November evening
there is snow in the veil
of the Autumn moon

An indifferent Winter moon
ignores the broken heart
    of Autumn

The bleak November night
dons the heavy cloak of
darkest Winter cares

snowflakes dance
their finest arabesques
in the coiling Winter
    wind

alone with
the Winter
wilderness,
poems rise
from the
well of
perfect
silence

Yes, once again you come through.Bleak winter is often more beautiful than any other season. Branches carrying the burden but so pretty and the flakes just falling down so easily. And we do not forget that Spring will follow shortly after. Excellent post today Bruce, best to you, jo

Love that first verse. "frozen shadows" Winter silence is indeed creating some beautiful poems.
