something touched me deeply
within my pulsating heart
I was ready for it
I needed it
for I have to clean up my act
even at the late day
must be done
I must destroy my sad, sad memories
and turn my heart
into a block of granite
in order to see the pretty flowers
without bitterweeds
affecting their beauty
ahhh . . .
summer's heat
into autumn's kaleidoscope leaves
resembling a colorful festivity through
my window's pane
oh, for much too long
I've looked past the beauty
on such a crisp
falling of the leaves day
what a dazzling day
outside this humble hovel

Yes, what a colorful poem! An upbeat change of pace from the murky lurky beauty of the swamp. Good job!

Hi Lori, yeah you're right as always, every so often I leave the swamp for a new pair of shoes and see a different world. Many thanks.

Jerry,
I love sitting by a sun filled window. The warmth and light to read by,or just to look out and see the subtle shades of life as it passes by  everything out there. Oh look, the Mocking Bird is back and joins a few friends, the Cat Bird swishes by,as leaves and petals fall. A yellow Butter fly, fullers by. Nice thoughts fill the mind when sitting by a sun filled window. Thanks for the respite,Jo
