Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Blood red from knees skinned
on broken sunflower seeds
and cottonwood leaves
My grapes fermented
in reptilian tears
of my depression
Real pain produced
by the delusion
of my brain’s erratic
chemical imbalance
My whine
is intoxicating
prairie moonshine
Siren calling
to the moon
I’ll have cheese
with mine
