       The Very Best of Me

You are …

the gentle perfection
in a first bloom of Spring

the radiant kiss of sunlight
and dew on a wildflower
   Summer morn

the rainbow magnificence
of the loveliest Autumn forest

the infinite crystalline purity
and softness of any new fallen
   snow

but, most of all …

in each minute, every
hour, every day

in our one special week
of finest memories

down the every-rolling
  years of a lifetime

or an eternity

You are …

the very best of me!

Thank you ! ... Guess I am rather a Dinoauric 'throw back' to the age of 19th. century 'Romanticism.'
One of my (many) critics labeled my 'pennings' as nothing but "pseudo-sentimental syrup-dipped tripe"
(I may not agree with him, however, that was damn good writing on his part!) I kinda' feel 'the world' might
actually be better off though if there were more 'incurable Romantics?!'
