Crimson wears the hands
that gather, the heartful
on the season's glow

into the slip and slide
where upon the wind - all we watch
must sadly vanish

but despite the crowds
that toast the colors, assembled
in a fond farewell

the leaves drift on and haunt
my soul's condition

as I know too well
I'm not the type so blessed
to hold and wear such glory

then drop my hands and let it go

Sad, but you do sad so well the reader become an integral part of it. That is special writing, Emma.
