October, but still hot
in The Hovel
and goblins nest in corner nooks
making sure all my poems
are sabotaged
dead on arrival as it were
unable to survive their grins
all my words
are regaled to the grave
even love
is a four-letter word
oh look!
the moronic look in his one eye
trying to speak
with cherry-flavored words
trying to make me ashamed

listen to the freight train whistle
tooting verses
about blood moon nights
and the tooth fairy muse shows up
now that I have no teeth

Well dang their creepy little hides! Bet Zoe would like to bite some Goblin behind. Just get them a bag of candy corn and they will get the belly ache and go away. Just be glad they aren't nose goblins, they are real boogers to get rid of!

Hah! You're really on top of it this morning, Lori. Nose goblins indeed! Thanks for the laugh.

Ha, you say it, dear Jerry! Thank you, I just had a good monster-laughter thanks to your work.
