Say what!!!
I read this earlier then my computer froze in the middle of typing my reply.

black crow dominating
the untethered bayou of mystery
it rose high in the sky
twain heaven and Bayou Lafourche
catching spirits' sighs
the Eternal One
watched and held His breath
timeless trysts beneath cypress trees
as innovative as
angels indulgent smiles
these spiritual and physically bonded
lover
the crow dipped and dived
toward special places
a silent prayer on its wings
seeing things a human cannot
in the lovers' silhouetted lashes
which devastated
their special attachment
there were harsh words of sentencing
you're not of the same race
still, within the shadow of the trees
they gave to each other
what they had to give
themselves
then one horrific night
a night no will talk about
they came for the lovers at midnight
took them to a place
where they built a huge bonfire
the crow
gracefully and quietly
glided to a spot
where the spirits of the lovers
were set free by flames and screams
where the grass will never grow again. .

This is dark and very well done...yanno JP this place isn't what it used to be...not that many people stop by anymore...and some of the people who are here aren't really here...so you gotta stop roughing yourself up so much. be happy with what you write... and don't fret so much.

I don't do facebook..i don't wanna do Facebook and I enjoy reading poetry...so i like coming here.  But change is part of life..we better accept it cuz fighting it is going to be a losing battle.  Glad you put this up again.

There are some fact of life that are hard for me to accept, this being one of them.  Good write on a horrific subject.

Oh, I understand Lori, there are things which are hard to bear, but closing your eyes to the evils of this world is not the answer. I appreciate your sensitivity.

All I will say is that you do "dark" extremely well, dear Jerry. This is haunting.
