Fair to middlin' of nowhere

The sun sets its shadow down
earlier each evening.
As its last golden rays
illuminate the trees
in golden light,
they glow in autumn tones.
Homes with cozy yellow windows bright,
inviting in from the coming night.
Chimneys curling smoke scent the skies.
In a kitchen cools fresh baked pumpkin pies.
Doorways and lamp posts all decorated up
with wreaths, sunflowers, pumpkins and straw
welcoming  the radiant season of fall.

I had a bad attack of smellingitis from all those flowers, Lori. How do you know some of them aren't poison? And the chimney smoke, Holy Achoo! Batman. Pies!? Just gotta feed the sugar companies coffers, huh?

Heh.Heh

Dear Lori, how very lovely this is! You caught the radiance of the season beautifully. Just bought a piece of pumpkin today, with the idea of making a risotto, though right now I'd just like it in its sweet form, together with you!

Love,
Margherita

Margherita I'm so happy you can enjoy this season with me! No doubt nature and this season in particular inspire me.

Hey Jerry down here! I thought I already replied to your comment, (my bad) apparently not. Smellingitis cracked me up! Thanks for your funny comment!
