Nothing Can Measure It

our love cannot be
scrutinized
one look at her
you'll see it in her eyes
she may hug and even stroke
what sets us apart
is our tenderness
but oh
she can be wicked if she's a mind to
we need not write tomes
to preserve what we have to keep
we have faith and with that
comes value
ahhh . . . these words I am saying
we two
thriving with the giving
the taking too
if you give someone must take
it's the right thing to do
no measurement can be taken
impossible to record
the world looks on
slows down
and serenades we two lovebirds
