tried to tell you as
we drifted apart
that the odds were in our favor
and we could cast our lot

In and out
up and down
never liked
wearing a crown

wish I may have
wish I might have
made a different wish
that night

I should have wished
for one more wish
so I could keep wishing
for more and more wishes
see the more wishes I wish for
the more kisses I can wish for
and then you could never
stop kissing me
until I wish for you
to stop kissing me that is....

In reality I only wished
for happiness...

I hope you are....
happy that is!!!

Well, that last wish is the most generous of wishes, if it comes from the heart. Sometimes we should decide that we can be happy with what is, continuous wishes bring no satisfaction and we forget that happiness is a state of mind.

You see, your poem stirs pondering!
