Four-thirty alarm
Her blaring phone wakes me
Try to turn it off

Four-thirty alarm
And the snooze goes off again
Shove under pillow

Still it is too loud
Find button to shut it off
But I cannot sleep

Fate, it seems was not on your ally this Monday morning.

Oh boy...i can so relate.
They say you're getting older
When you wish to have those naps
You refused to take as a kid.

4:30 a.m. was too close to my wake up time of 5 a.m. to dare go back to sleep and wake up with a nasty case of groggy. I'll be hitting the hay early tonight!

Lol... 4:30 is my wake up time, so I am of the opinion everyone should have to wake up then.     Welcome to my world.

Michael,  I've been known to get up at that time too on my own. But being woke up and having to do battle with electronics too is ...well ...just plain arrrrrghhhhhhh! I'll think of you now every 4:30 a.m...even if it is only to look at the clock and smile then roll over and catch another 30 minutes of Z's

LOL - I can definitely relate! One of my cats lived with an insomniac before coming to me - and she thinks I should be up by 4! LOL And about the time I convince her she WILL go back to sleep, the texts start... I don't just want to crawl under the covers, I want to crawl under the bed! LOL

Enjoyed this - and understand the frustration!

That's one thing about being "retired" - AND no kids living at home.  Basically I/we own the clock - it doesn't own us.

It's wonderful; at least till we need money!!

LOL - jimmy
