Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2014-07-29 09:34 PM

Scents assail
as the familiar flies by…
The neon come hithers
wild meadows
and along roadside spaces
all decorated by rainbows in bloom
Five in a line
antelope
heads buried
tails flapping
wave at bye passers
threading around and through
to the Eye of the Needle
Halted by
bighorn ewes and their lambs
nonchalant in the middle
of the road

fine imagery indeed ...

an impresionistic 'slice-of-life' brim-full of the
'colors' and sights of ephemeral Summertime.

Thanks everybody for your comments. I'm having trouble keeping up.  I'm glad I can share a bit of this with you in my words.

I live near a very large cemetery where many dear roam at this time of year, to the delight of my grandkids. Delightful imagery.

Reminds me of Montana.
Loved the read, my friend.

Gawd I need to move to the country.  I could sit and watch stuff like this all day.
