perhaps it was just something in your eyes
saying hello, whispering quiet
or maybe it was your breast friends there
swelling into a welcoming smile

maybe it was how you played country songs
with fingers that knew the juke box
like a familiar violin, with special wood
that you would often take time to worship

perhaps it was how you licked the salty brim
from your glass, like it was something gold
then gave away a glance like candy treats
before you leaned over low and touched morning

with just enough words spoken, to be lovely

Daddy...you give new meaning to the term Tequila Sunrise.

That's all I'm going to say...
