     Gone Without a Trace

Here amid the rock and pine
serenity and streaming twilight
of this soft Summer night,
with a grand, wise, and powerful
   full moon rising,
wisps of swirling mist mingle
with memories and dreams of
all that ‘should have been,’
but the ‘walking dead’ still living
have no right to disturb the
ancient spirits of these
  ‘endless’ hills
with  petty worries, plans
   and schemes.
Be instead as a night bird
against the silvered clouds,
with a full-clear mind, spirit
and the wanderer’s heart,
when gone, gone without
    a trace.

I love what you said about the bird with a clear mind and spirit...
That is always how I read you and what i take from your poetry.

Your poetry is artwork.  I see the images that you paint and feel the peace that you bring with each image you share.

Deep and clear and oh, so true, as only you can say it, Bruce.
