UNDISCOVERED TREASURES
16 May 2014

There are stories untold to excite and inspire;
and songs unsung in angels’ choir;
dances undanced in fairy rings;
colours unseen on butterfly wings;
whispers unspoken in wind’s embrace;
fragrance unbreathed in sweet hour’s grace;
fruits untasted in forests of old;
games unplayed and toys not sold;
textures untouched in soft caress;
trees unplanted in nature’s dress;
books unread in fantasy’s dreams;
art unsensed in tints and gleams.

Let us find them all and splash them high
across the wild and flaming sky
and awaken the world so it can behold
and inject its heart and troubled soul
and teach all who will listen to employ
wisdom, awareness and tremulous joy.

Undiscovered treasures abound....unfortunate are the ones who stop searching.

Wise words from the Owl!

Yes, they do, Balladeer!  I am luckier than most.  I don't even have to search.  They just appear all around for me.  Giggles, I am not always wise, but thank you!  I like to think I am sometimes.

Wonderfully optimistic and uplifting. Yes, those treasures are there. I would wish a key to all, so that they may be unlocked.

Thank you, Redstart.  The wonderful thing is, that you don't need a key.  There isn't even a door to go through.  You just have to consecrate the time, relax your shoulders, breathe deeply, open your eyes and your soul wide, and look around you.  They are all there waiting in happy anticipation for you to discover them.

Wol,

Wise message. Poetry that reads like a symphony. Great use of the "uns" in life. I am totally into this poem of yours.

A lovely reminder that they still exist. In today's world we often forget. I'm glad your spirit remains aware
