    Love and Kindness

I walk out of the darkness
along this road of darkness
   into the darkness,
with only the light of
a fine crescent moon
on the far off edge
of these ‘endless hills,’
still knowing but little
   with any certainty.
He that claims much,
much more is either a
magnificent fool or
   a great liar.
I 'know' who I love,
how much I love,
and the inestimable
value of kindness ...
nothing more.

How many times are you going to say goodbye, Bruce?

Love and kindness go a long way.
You always write so nice and speak from the heart.

Love and kindness go together. One cannot survive without the other. And I do not want to see you say goodbye. You have been here for a long time and have many followers.
sincerely, Jo

I'm one of his followers. I just don't understand all the drama about leaving.

I've had a love/hate relationship with writing 'poesy' for 45 yrs. Over 1700 poems now since
the very 1st. one, and I'm still not sure whether it's a blessing or a curse to be 'driven' to write.
Perhaps one should know when to quit and simply 'fade away' into the darkness ...

Bruce, Write as you have to, it is not an obsession. I do many things that I wonder why I do. It is something innate. I know I still repeat some things my father did. He was the nurturer and he was very frugal as am I. He very neat. (I am not as good as he was) He wrapped the garbage in newspaper and tied it up to throw it out. He put the pillow cases inside a freshly folded sheet so he only had the one pack to take from the linen closet. He was old school Army and I think that is when some of his traits were picked up. BUt that and much more is why I worshiped him.  Keep writing and posting. Jo

I think the ability to write is a blessing to be appreciated and shared. Few are so blessed.

Dear DreamPoet,
Please continue to write!
I very much enjoy your poems
of hello and goodbye. They transport me
into other realms.
