Forever Changed
Amy Michelle Kennedy

Sometimes you meet someone who changes you
They leave an impact that leaves you wanting more
You tell yourself you're dreaming
You don't dare re-open that door

But somewhere from within
As you listen to the beating of your heart
You know that you've known them before
As you search for a new start

You close your eyes
As you blink back a tear
All you can think
Is you're glad they are here.

"If you can dream it, you can achieve it"

You capture that instant a person realizes they are in the presence of someone they have always known, even if they've never met before, very well.  It's a great place to be isn't it?

Amy this is one of your best. I have been reading you as a new addition to this site, and have a feeling you are quite young, that is compared to me, as most anyone compared to  me is.LOL Keep writing, you have more ability than I and it seems to be growing.

Hi ty for your reply. I am actually returning back to Passions after being gone a long time. My old username is Aimster. But I can't remember my password and no longer have the e-mail I registered with so many years ago. I started on this page a little over 10 yeara ago. I am 37 now

That's lovely. It's like that when we meet soul connections. Our hearts recognise them straight away.

We're kind of similar. I started writing poetry during university years and learned from this website. I'm 35 now and although I never stopped writing poetry, I felt less inspired as pressures of life got in the way. I always love reading the poems in PIP though, especially from some favourite poets.

Your poetry was sweetly sentimental Miss Kennedy.

I don't think I could take such a 'reunion' though. I'm not that strong emotionally and I would likely fall in love all over again.

Where I live now, I am the odd man out. I have no memories here and no one that I ever knew is closer than a thousand miles. Still, I fall in love every time I go to town and come back home with a broken heart.

I will be reading your wonderful poem again and again.
