         Through all
  Seasons of the Heart

My finest dreams
have danced on
Deep-Time’s
‘endless’ hills
in  the soft Spring
moonlight ...

through the thunderous
cloud-castled cadence
of glowering Summer skies ...

along rainbow-
bright Autumn
trails and traceless
   forest ways ....

among the
gentle healing fall
of Winter snows
and star-swept
crystalline nights ...

and yet, for me, there has
never been any wilderness
dawn of delight in homage
to the morning star,
seasons of the heart,
nor all of Natures grand-
majestic magnificence
as sweet as even the very
smallest thought of you.

Ahhh . . . another of your word playing delights, Bruce. The "endless hills" you bring to us with each poem is good for many other ideas for poetry. You say . . .
quote:
(possibly my last poem)

I have also said that quite a number of times, but I never seem to be able to leave the Blue Room. Of course your words could have had an entirely different meaning.

I've had a "love-hate" relationship with "poesy" for many, many years ... maybe it's time to escape the blessing or the curse of it (whichever it may actually be)?!

Though I don't always comment, I, pretty much, always read what you write, when I visit PIP, and feel if you quit, this site, and the world in general, will lose a true romantic - that said, we all have to seek the quiet at times, and sometimes that may last forever. And isn't it really the peace within ourselves that makes us so . . .

If that's true with you, know that I have enjoyed your words over the years.

Thanks so much, Jimmy !

I'll add one more little "poetic scribble" in tribute to 'incurable Romantics' everywhere!

Pause, and survey the blossoms of the meadow, so that you can return many times to breath in the perfume of God.

You would be missed.

This is lovely...love the soaring imagery...writers though don't ever escape the demons...they may go into a latency...they're just biding their time though...trust me...I've tried to stop...LOL

Thanks to both of you lovely ladies!  Perhaps the 'poetic muse' is
ultimately inescapable and also, perhaps I'll never understand why
we are 'compelled to write'?! ... maybe some questions simply
shouldn't be asked nor pursued.

I would sorely moss your beautiful words, Bruce. I have come to expect and enjoy your
special brand of poetry.
