Decided to go a few years back,
although I don't have any idea
if it will be considered a "good" poem,
or even if it will be allowed to stand,
but is still my kind of trash.

praying is easy when trouble is about
your sky is crashing around you
catastrophically French-kissing you like a vulture
cursing God
because of nightmarish visions
fearing God for the reason of the curse

what did you do
old life, adieu

soulless choir sings your dirge
your sunset
the kind postcards never depict
trying to sum up your peccadillo's
li-de-da
a most defining moment

you know its wrong
but you're not strong

what we have here, lustful urgings
do you catch my drift
a line crossed in the libido
defining moment
this new love-lust sequence
neighbor's wife hot-to-trot

watch like a hawk
eyes that do stalk

high heels tapping suggestively down the sidewalk
like guns in battle
male ego readily available for conquest
her volatile teasing hidden from view
green-eyed feline
dangerous as a drag-queen with a bowie knife

nothing to gain
riding this train

no man so tall as when he stoops to pet a pussycat
her pussycat
purrs, satisfied
her warfare of marriage-wrecking on track
makes you feel s-o-o important
such an immoral lie

man is so weak
for this technique

invite you in
upfront, personal taste-drive
swabbed with unscrupulous tongue
your vows (marriage) dulled by her charms
your wife shopping, her hubby at work
haha, hoho, what could be better

one of peta*
this sleek cheetah

dining on Château de Glory Hole
smiling like a self-satisfied serial-killer, dog-paddling in paradise
blind to lust and a wild insurance-collecting plot
hubby, home early, shots rang out
find yourself room temperature
you in your grave, her hubby in jail

entrepreneurs
your wife and her

*peta-: one million billion (formed from penta-, on the model of "tera" [as if from "tetra-"]; so called because it represents 1,000 to the fifth power)

Wow! Is that where you started perfecting your last line kicker?  What a tale this was.  I never saw the end coming.  Good job!

Thank you Lori. I think the last line kicker was started earlier than this. I can't even remember starting it, it just evolved as I kept writing poetry.
