  The Tintype

Lovely lady
with the sad,
  sad eyes
from another
world,
what were
your dreams
and sorrows?
How did you
come to be
flash-frozen in
some moment of
a long-lost ‘now’
to stare forever,
unseeing, into
ten thousand
tomorrows of the
same questions
without answers?

Ahhh . . . I've observed those kind of pictures, statues, and even creative cartoon, the same faraway look as they seemingly search for . . . ?

Old pictures have always fascinated me, Bruce. They always make me think. Love this.

I have a few of those old tin types and some on a tin oval from so long ago. Many hold stories untold. enjoyed Jo

some things are just like that, eternal and etched into our hearts and minds where we just 'know' without explanation
