To a Stranger~

I remember you

You were dressed in blue

And I was passing by

You smiled and I nodded

my reply

Many months have passed

But I cannot deny

That each time I pass that site

I keep an open eye

Oh yes, Jo, certain moments in passing stays with us and gives us unaccustomed pleasure as we relive it in the days, weeks, sometimes even years to come. This was very romantic.

One cannot help but wonder what would have been revealed if you both hadn't just walked on. As they say, a stranger's just a friend you do not know but how like the human race not to embrace strangers - can't really blame them though in this day and age.

Keep an open eye, Jo.

Thank you Yann  and Helen. A happening from years ago. I am usually pretty perceptive. This was many years ago but remains to be thought of once in a while. It helps to keep the imagination alive. Jo

I really love this, dear Martyjo, there is that little touch of magic which expands its reverberations into the future.

I too, have had moments when I passed by someone and lost the opportunity for an interaction and sometimes I remember (what if) a few of them.

. Hi Ida, It is a look or a smile or mostly something in the eyes. It can be a man or a woman or even a young person. A connection seems to be there and you wonder. I have often spoken to a man or woman about almost anything just to find the connection. Usually with a smile and a funny thought or a compliment. It works for the time being  but the person still is a stranger and you never meet again. Most people you do this with appreciates the pause in their day, especially if a compliment is given. I should write it in a notebook as I remember most of them. Thanks for stopping by. Jo

I have read this one a few times and it is definitely one that many can relate to. Kudos for penning the recall so well on such a brief encounter. I enjoyed

This so reminds me of a moment in my life that I'll not forget: I was on Paddington station, in the buffet bar. I looked over her mother's shoulders(I assume it was her mother) and caught her eyes, as she caught mine. A simple moment that we never forget.

Could have sworn I had replied to this way up the page . . . but, guess not.  Don't recall what I think I said, but I know I enjoyed it!

And will just leave it at that...

This was an incredibly thought out piece gal. I think we've all done this. Then again, we're all strangers to someone....In fact, I'm stranger than most.
