Fair to middlin' of nowhere

The rain came like forgiveness
to hole pocked ground
made by a million night crawlers
seeking the lifesaving dew
Soaking beneath the sieve surface
of soil to patient new roots
waiting to drink their fill
then birth their green
to the daylight

Wish we would get some rain... be sparse, to say the least, this spring, so far . . .

enjoyed.

We have bee teased unmercifully by rains all around us for weeks. We really needed it bad!

Ha!  I opened my mouth, and God heard -

The weather-folk predicated less than a mosquito's proboscis chance of rain, and then only in late afternoon . . .

Go figure . . .

it's raining.
