Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Life can be construed
as a series of obstacles to be subdued
Or given lemons is another view
with which to make lemonade is the thing to do
Being that in all situations there is a difference
each lemonade will require unique ingredients
Searching for lemonade recipes
can consume a lifetime with ease
Time can be wasted
Searching for the best ever tasted
It is a fool’s pursuit
Might as well put on a tie and suit
Double dipping from the well
Gathering recipes to sell

(poem #4 Lemonade Recipes series)

I understand, Lori, as we live on we use different lemonade recipes to confront and defeat problems in life. Even have to build recipes for the pleasant things we encounter. After awhile, the lemonade can't help but become weaker.

In addition, we can become distracted. For example, life can give us lemons in the form of mice and the lemonade might be mousetraps. However, a person, instead of focusing on getting rid of the mice decides to focus on trying to make a better mousetrap and making lots of money instead. So looking for the "perfect lemonade" for each of life's lemons can be a fool's journey that keeps us from solving our problem and moving on. Greed is just one distraction....Lust, anger and hate are a few others. Yes, I would agree that makes for some pretty weak lemonade.

I see you have given the lemonade a great deal of thought.

I like the lemons, tangy and tart, with a twist of vodka
too much sugar can make one ill.
Cool poem, I like your recipe collection that you are working on. Keep on going !
