A friend had a thought (I) and asked me to write a poem about it. The following is a preliminary "sketch" I Life is a Journey Of searching for Lemonade recipes II Life is a Journey Of searching for lemonade Recipes happen III Life often offers a lemon as we journey through Making lemonade is one of the best things to do How sour the situation measures the amount of sweetness needed A measure of the situation determines the flavoring that you choose It often seems that all we do is search for lemonade recipes to get us through [This message has been edited by Lori Grosser Rhoden (04-19-2014 11:23 AM).] |

lemonade is best with extra sugar in it hides the bitter there the bitter comes forth can take aim and destroy the sweetness within more sugar added hopefully enough this time has bitter been hid ~*~ Love is friendship set on fire. ~*~ |

O so joyous we can be , when we are able to make the sour into the sweet. |

I like the "life is a journey" line. My own personal experience says "lemonade happens", but then that happens only to those who are willing to make it I suppose. You are much more experienced in that dept than someone like me who has brooded away half of lis life sucking sour lemons for all they are worth. Go with your gut, Lori. Such contemplation for a three line poem. maybe I should try one sometime. Michael |

EmmaRose! You are on to something! There is great satisfaction in turing a situation around. It is very empowering! Watch the woman bearing lemons! Lori |

Michael- I like the senyru/haiku to focus my thoughts on a subject and try to reduce it down to the bare essence. Because they are short you can usually get them done before you want to shoot the computer. Lori |
