where the wild flowers grow

            The snowflakes
            on your sweater
         shimmer in the winter sun,
                 but
         they haven't fallen yet.

        They bleed into each other
             as you splash
           in spring puddles,
        you roll the sleeves up
         and stretch the fabric.

           The snowflakes on
             your sweater
bend over the edge of your bed.
I trace my fingers across the arches
              of your feet,
because I love to hear you laugh.
               You laugh
             just like me.

And there have been many nights
            that I have wept
        a deep and painful cry,
             knowing that one day
        the snowflakes on
   your sweater
won't fit.

This is priceless. It is a keeper for reading later on when the sweater doesn't fit anymore. The poem is also a good reason to hang on to that sweater...together they capture a whole season of memories!

the snowflakes eventually melt, but the
warm feeling will be everlasting with such a charming poem

A very touching poem, dear Kaoru. Intense pathos.

Love,
