The greatest fight the Stoic warrior engages in, Is the one within him, He constantly struggles, Against his desires, Looking to ascertain something anew, Fighting every thought until he prevails, Logic is what he hopes to succumb to, Amongst others, he remains alone, Tough battle he faces, In the end, if he survives it, He can claim victory at each right step, The ones he fails to land correctly, He gives it no more thought than the present, In the end his need is to march without being told to, And carry the burden without revealing it, He gives himself over once more, Continuing the fight evermore. I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality. |

The Stoic Warrior took my memory right to reading Julius Caesar. Brutus would have agreed whole heartedly with your poem. Well done! Lori |
